Bim Hjortronsteen (Suecia)

In the Ice Is Getting Thinner, artist and photographer Bim Hjortronsteen returns to her home country of Sweden. Exploring memory and the concept of nostaligia, she documents the people from her past and the environment surrounding them. The project explores the nature of time and presence, and a place where time seems to stand still and move at the same time. Using the changing seasons and the interaction between the artist, the people and the environment, Bim tries to better understand her own identity and the concept of home.
