New lights of Burma

“New lights of Burma” is not just a trip from current Myanmar but a follow up of George Orwell steps across this former British Empire colony. Eric Blair –Orwell's real name - worked as an imperial policeman in Mandalay before becoming a famous journalist and novelist. '1984' and 'Animal farm' are his two great literary works that talk about Burmese military dictatorship. The totalitarian regime came to the end after March 2012 elections: while the tyranny of military power was fatally wounded, another country began to born: a democratic country full of artists, pop bands, new parties and with the universal Burmese icon: Aung San Suu Kyi.
